Newborn
A newborn’s first days are a fleeting treasure, full of a unique delicacy and sweetness.
The approach to newborn photography is natural and respectful, putting first the authenticity of those early gestures, sleep and small interactions, without forcing poses that are uncomfortable or unsafe for the baby.
The idea is that both the newborn and you feel safe and calm, as you would at home, opening a peaceful space where beauty and tenderness can appear on their own.
To capture that special stage, the session is best between days 7 and 15 after birth. In that window babies often sleep more deeply and stay more flexible, which helps those tender, natural poses. Sessions later on are possible, but it is worth knowing that as they grow they lose some of that flexibility and tend to be more awake, which can change the kind of photographs we can make.
For these especially sensitive sessions, these options are available:
At home: This is the ideal setting, because the baby is in their own space. The natural light in your rooms, and the warmth and familiarity of the place, are perfect for capturing a newborn’s essence. We look for the time of day when sunlight softly fills your home.
In the studio: For those who prefer a controlled setting with props and precise lighting, the studio is an alternative that allows clean, timeless results.
Newborn sessions need patience and flexibility, following the baby’s rhythm completely (feeds, changes, stretches of sleep). That is why they usually last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. To help you prepare, a week before the session you receive a presentation with clothing tips and a reminder of everything you need.
For those who want to keep every instant from the very beginning, birth photography is also offered. This intimate, respectful service documents your baby’s arrival, capturing those unrepeatable moments with as much sensitivity and discretion as possible.
