In the heart of summer, Evelyn and Carlos celebrated their wedding at Mas Llombart, a beautiful estate surrounded by special landscapes, perfect for an outdoor ceremony full of unforgettable moments. As a wedding photographer I love capturing weddings that vibrate with energy and spontaneity, and this was one of those where the connection with the couple and their people was instant.
From the first moment you could tell it would be a very special day. The bride got ready at Mas Llombart itself, surrounded by her closest friends, nervous laughs and a held-in emotion you could feel in the air. Everything was perfectly coordinated, without losing the naturalness that makes authentic wedding photography come alive. Evelyn, with a smile that never left and a few nerves, let herself be accompanied calmly, while the details started to take the stage: her bouquet, the shoes, the jewellery, her friends’ looks and above all her father seeing her dressed… every instant was gold for my camera.
Carlos got ready at home, surrounded by his closest friends and family, in an easy, familiar atmosphere. We went with him to catch those intimate, natural moments that often get lost: concentrating to fasten his cufflinks, nerves while adjusting the little flowers on his lapel, and one last look at the watch before leaving for the ceremony.
One of the great stars of the wedding was, without doubt, their dog, who had the tenderest mission of the day: carrying the rings. In an utterly moving and original moment, the dog walked towards the couple in the middle of the ceremony, among smiles and tears from the guests. Those unique moments are what make a wedding story unrepeatable.
During the ceremony there was also one of the most moving moments of the whole day: helium balloons released in memory of loved ones who are no longer here. It was a beautiful, intimate tribute that brought everyone together in a shared silence.
After so much emotion, Evelyn and Carlos took a little time just for themselves. A calm moment, looking at each other without hurry, breathing together before carrying on celebrating. One of those instants you do not plan, but that stay forever.
By dinner and the party, joy was the absolute star. Lots of young people, ready to celebrate, dance and enjoy until the last minute. Music, toasts, laughter and hugs everywhere. As a photographer, these moments let me work from a documentary wedding perspective, where the images are not only seen, they are felt.
